We're always on the hunt for high-quality toys, so I wanted to share a lovely company with you today. Polka-Dot Peanut Parade was founded by Vanesa Stutz, a talented artist who learned sewing as a young girl in her parents' upholstery factory. Fast forward twenty years later and Vanesa is advancing her career in the fashion industry. With the birth of her daughter in 2013, she decided to spend time at home, and after making a rag doll for her once, Polka-Dot Peanut Parade was born. All of the dolls are made from sustainable material and hand-crafted in Los Angeles. Here are a few of her beautiful pieces.

We first fell in love with Afternoon Faun at Hedley & Bennett's mini apron launch party. The sweet handcrafted crochet creatures and cacti are made by Mariah Behrens locally in Los Angeles. Mariah is throwing a little pop-up party on Sunday, November 1st at Yolk in Silverlake, if you'd like to attend with your little ones (details). Yolk is an independent design store in Los Angeles' Silverlake neighborhood with a beautiful collection of home decor, accessories, gifts, toys and kids' fashion.

The owner, CY, is lovely and has such great taste.

I'm crazy for these wooden toys from Japanese company, Kiko. And they had just gotten a big shipment of Janod the day we were there, so we scored a Picnic Hamper and Safari Story Box.

They always have some great Mini Rodini pieces on hand.
