UPSTAIRS AT PIERRE LAFOND

The next time you take a trip to Santa Barbara, I highly recommend stopping in the town of Montecito, just south. Pierre Lafond has quite a setup there with his Wine Bistro and Montecito Market, along with his wife's Wendy Foster and Upstairs. Today we're exploring Upstairs, a beautifully curated shop of unique pieces for home, gifts and the kids.

I'll have to tell Twink to add these to her next Kitchen Towel Guide.

I spy some good Rifle Paper Co. options in there.

Cozy blankies for snuggling.

I'm gonna need to add this Maileg bunny to Mila's birthday wish list.

Oh hey, beautiful Jess Brown doll.

DTLA'S POKETO

Located in DTLA's Arts District, POKETO is a one-of-a-kind boutique with a little something for everyone. I really love and want to support stores, like this one, that carry wonderfully unique and handmade pieces, that you can't find just anywhere. I especially love their perfectly put together displays -- each with its own theme, telling its own story. Founded by husband and wife team, Ted Vadakan and Angie Ayung, POKETO recently opened a second location in Koreatown's Line Hotel. Here's a look into the flagship store.

The cash register displays house jewelry, sunglasses and Mast Brothers Chocolate.

I love this camp themed display.

The colorful and lively childrens' display, in front of datebooks and greeting cards.

Beautiful pouches, clutches and jewelry are displayed next to gorgeous brass desk accessories and pens.

Another story being told with this beautiful theme. And the copper watering can is outta sight!

Lovely homewares, books, baskets and two fabulous marble clocks.

A selection of design and entertaining books and magazine.

Handmade ceramics, flatware and other special items for the home.

Genius "LA" mugs.

And I saved the best for last: golden playing cards. I'll take a deck please!

HOLLYWOOD'S LOST & FOUND SHOP

Taking up almost an entire square block on Yucca Street (between Vine & Ivar) is Hollywood's greatest one-stop destination -- the Lost & Found Shop. Made up of a row of unassuming small store-fronts, Lost & Found carries everything from women, men and children's clothes, gifts for anyone and everyone and housewares. I don't know if I've ever seen a more well-curated store. Each item that they carry is really special and unique. I could spend an entire day here, looking at all of their treasure, surrounded by their art-covered walls. So if you want the anti- mall/mass-produced shopping experience this is your place.
