BRIXTON IN IZZY & FERD SS17 COLLECTION

We are such big fans of Izzy & Ferd! I have been dressing Brixton in this organic, Southern California-based line since I discovered them at one of my favorite boutiques a couple of years ago. I met the designers, Cindy & Joe, at an event last spring and instantly loved them. I was so thrilled to have Brixton be a part of this shoot of their collection -- especially when the photographer is the incredibly talented, Nicki Sebastian. Here are some of Brixton's looks from the Pecos Bill themed collection for Spring/Summer 2017. I love these pieces!!

(ALMOST) SWEATER WEATHER

It's the first day of fall! And even though LA is showing absolutely no signs of autumn, I thought I would celebrate the equinox with a round up of some of the season's best sweaters. May a chill come to the air soon (insert -- pray emoji).

JUMPING INTO THE SEASON'S BEST JUMPSUITS AND ROMPERS

I have to admit that when the jumpsuit/romper trend first (re)appeared I wasn't convinced. In fact, I was assisting my stylist BFF on a job about 6 years ago, when she pulled a jumpsuit out for her client and I said something to the effect of "I will NEVER wear a jumpsuit." Well, folks, I stand corrected. Turns out I'm a big fan. They're really so versatile, comfortable and flattering. I wore them a lot during my pregnancy too. They're kind of the perfect piece of clothing. Here are my picks for the current Spring/Summer season.

DTLA'S POKETO

Located in DTLA's Arts District, POKETO is a one-of-a-kind boutique with a little something for everyone. I really love and want to support stores, like this one, that carry wonderfully unique and handmade pieces, that you can't find just anywhere. I especially love their perfectly put together displays -- each with its own theme, telling its own story. Founded by husband and wife team, Ted Vadakan and Angie Ayung, POKETO recently opened a second location in Koreatown's Line Hotel. Here's a look into the flagship store.

The cash register displays house jewelry, sunglasses and Mast Brothers Chocolate.

I love this camp themed display.

The colorful and lively childrens' display, in front of datebooks and greeting cards.

Beautiful pouches, clutches and jewelry are displayed next to gorgeous brass desk accessories and pens.

Another story being told with this beautiful theme. And the copper watering can is outta sight!

Lovely homewares, books, baskets and two fabulous marble clocks.

A selection of design and entertaining books and magazine.

Handmade ceramics, flatware and other special items for the home.

Genius "LA" mugs.

And I saved the best for last: golden playing cards. I'll take a deck please!

HOLLYWOOD'S LOST & FOUND SHOP

Taking up almost an entire square block on Yucca Street (between Vine & Ivar) is Hollywood's greatest one-stop destination -- the Lost & Found Shop. Made up of a row of unassuming small store-fronts, Lost & Found carries everything from women, men and children's clothes, gifts for anyone and everyone and housewares. I don't know if I've ever seen a more well-curated store. Each item that they carry is really special and unique. I could spend an entire day here, looking at all of their treasure, surrounded by their art-covered walls. So if you want the anti- mall/mass-produced shopping experience this is your place.
