MILA'S PEONY PICNIC BIRTHDAY PARTY

It's Mila's birthday week! So I'm reminiscing and looking back. Here's a peek at her 2nd birthday. You may remember it from 100 Layer Cakelet (and as one of their favorite kids birthday parties of 2014). Hopefully, I've included a few here you haven't seen before.

I had planned an elaborate balloon overhang, à la Geronimo Balloons, but my helium resource fell through. So I went to plan b by criss-crossing twine amongst the trees and hanging the balloons from there.

These were literally the last batch of coral peonies for the season.

I love this gold twine for the cutlery so much. I hope I can figure out something as good for Mila and Brixton's birthday party this weekend!

BEAUTIFUL KITCHEN TOWELS

I have true love and appreciation for a good kitchen towel. I find them to be one of the fastest and cheapest ways to freshen up my kitchen. I love hanging new dishtowels on my oven or folded on the counter, when I'm hosting a dinner or holiday party. Now that Spring is around the corner, I'm ready to liven things up with some new linens! HOLLYWOOD'S LOST & FOUND SHOP

Taking up almost an entire square block on Yucca Street (between Vine & Ivar) is Hollywood's greatest one-stop destination -- the Lost & Found Shop. Made up of a row of unassuming small store-fronts, Lost & Found carries everything from women, men and children's clothes, gifts for anyone and everyone and housewares. I don't know if I've ever seen a more well-curated store. Each item that they carry is really special and unique. I could spend an entire day here, looking at all of their treasure, surrounded by their art-covered walls. So if you want the anti- mall/mass-produced shopping experience this is your place.
