SPRING DINNER PARTY

I wanted to throw an early spring dinner party for my best friend's birthday and I knew I wanted to include grey (the birthday girl's favorite color), pinks and copper in the palette. We sourced all of our tabletop items from the amazing Borrowed Blu. To create a mix of glamour and earthiness, I paired grey marble chargers with wooden plates. I love the mix of copper tumblers, milk glass and crystal cut goblets. The antique silver flatware and candlesticks, added the perfect moodiness to the dinner, representing the transition of winter to spring. We added a lot of greens to the mix of pink flowers. It was an honor to have the party featured on MyDomaine! We have included extra, never-before-seen photos of the event here. A long farmhouse table and Victoria Ghost Chairs sourced from Town & Country Event Rentals set the stage for a laid-back glamour.

A single ranunculi and fern placed upon a natural linen napkin welcomed each guest to their seat.

I created the The Puckerberry Finn cocktail using muddled blackberries, fresh lemon, organic small-batch gin and elderflower liquor for the occasion. I garnished the drink with edible flowers and frozen blackberries.

In case the evening got chilly, I put together a basket of cream throws from Borrowed Blu, that guests could help themselves to.

SUMMER ANCHOR GARLAND

I made a cute and simple anchor garland for last weekend's Nautical and Natural Baby Sprinkle. They also make great summer party decorations.

For the ANCHOR BANNER you will need:

Navy Card Stock (One sheet per anchor. I purchased mine from Paper Source and I used five)

Natural Twine

Anchor Template (I used this one)

Scissors

Small Single Hole Punch

Print the anchor template on the card stock. Cut along the outside of the black outline.

Punch two holes near the top of the anchor, about 1/4 inch apart. String the twin through. Repeat with four of more anchors. You've got a summer and/or baby boy garland!

FAVORITE PARTY IDEAS

I could just gaze at pretty party pics all day… sigh. But who has the time? So here are five our favorite party ideas to give a short, fun sample of inspiration.

I can safely say, I never wanted a bachelorette party until I saw what Geronimo Balloons created for this bash featured on 100 Layer Cake. The explosion of pink frill and gold balloons just makes me so happy. Now I need to have one!

I need this fiesta-inspired decor in my life, all day everyday. Beijos Events was at the helm of this gorgeous inspiration on Green Wedding Shoes.

The balloon arch to end all balloon arches. I mean, this just makes me want to cry. It's so incredible. Created by The House That Lars Built for BHLDN.

Here's one from our own moody spring dinner featured on My Domaine. Photo by One Eleven Photography.

These pretty donuts get me every time. So perfect for a baby shower. They're from a pink & gold sip n' see by Melissa Baum Events on 100 Layer Cakelet.
