THE BEAT BUDS VIDEO RELEASE PARTY AT PINT SIZE KIDS

Our favorite family-friendly band, The Beat Buds have teamed up with a new app Baby's Brilliant, and released their new video "Hello to you all."  They had a party at Sherman Oaks' Pint Size Kids to celebrate the release, and of course, we had to be in the front row!

We arrived a little early and played inside Pint Size Kids air-conditioned space for a bit. 

Their shaded "backyard" is adorable and perfect for a little concert.

And they served Brixton's favorite food so he was beyond thrilled. Thanks for being non-GMO SkinnyPop!

Hard-core jamming is now in session.

Johnny and Matty are amazing at getting the kids involved in every song. They provide all kinds of instruments for the kids to play through the show. We love you Beat Buds!!! Their music is available on CD via their website and can also be purchased on iTunes.

JUMPING AT SKY HIGH SPORTS

Over the summer, I took Brixton to his buddy's birthday party at Woodland Hill's Sky High Sports. Since then, we keep going back to this "Trampoline Place" because we really love it! I particularly like Sky High because they allow adults to jump too (which some other places do not). It's a great calorie burner while spending time with the kids! Win-win!

They offer "Air-Obics" classes that look fun.

They also have an arcade if you want to make an afternoon of it. xx

TOTES ORGANIC JUICES

Here's a little ode to my favorite neighborhood haunt, Totes Juices. Totes is not only the best juice place in my Sherman Oaks neighborhood, but it's one of the best in LA altogether. Chelsea, the owner, knows what's up and she uses only 100% organic ingredients in her juices -- which some places do not! In addition to fresh pressed and seasonal juices, they offer smoothies, bowls and "Totessicles" - popsicles made of just fruit.

My favorite juice is "Friends with Benefits" -- a seasonal cocktail with pineapple, greens, citrus, turmeric and jalepeño. I have to have it every day.

Customize your drink but adding fresh pressed ginger and lemon juice, olive oil or cayenne.

Blueberry "Totesicle" -- super fresh with no "junk."

Another treat we can't live without is the Almond Date Shake with Chai Protein. It is like the best ice cream you've ever had.

STUDIO CITY'S GIRASOL

The Valley is ever-so-slowly coming up in the food arena. With Girasol being at the forefront of this (opening almost two years ago), it is one of the best restaurants the area has to offer.  Executive chef and "Top Chef" alum CJ Jacobson, created a menu that they describe as refined-rustic California cuisine. And I have to say, some of the prettiest dishes around. Here's our recent meal.

If you are looking for an elevated dining experience in The San Fernando Valley, this is a good one. xx

JOAN'S ON THIRD, STUDIO CITY

LA's favorite marketplace/cafe/caterer opened its second location, in Studio City, less than a year ago. And all I have to say is "Thank God." I love living in The Valley, but we are still working at stepping up our food game... Joan's on Third is my one-stop-shop for wines, gifts and cheeses. They also make the best crudités dips! They have an extensive catering menu on their website. And they are the perfect lunch meeting spot. I want to eat everything in their bakery and they always decorate so adorably for every season. I love you Joan's!!!!!
